Alarm!
Een typische woensdagochtend. Gisteren iets te laat gaan slapen, vanmorgen strompel ik half slaapdronken mijn autootje in op weg naar het werk. Nog even wat boodschappen doen voor de lunch, dan hoef ik er zometeen niet meer uit...
Ik laad mijn mandje vol bij de AH en geniet van de rust -heerlijk als al het vakantievierend ranzig volk dat in de zomermaanden de AH vervuilt nog ligt te slapen- en op mijn gemak zoek ik de lunchbehoefte voor mijn collega's bij elkaar.
Nog steeds niet helemaal wakker stapel ik alles op de band voor de kassa, leg mijn bonuskaart neer, pak mijn pinpas.... ALARM!!!!
Alarm? Alarm? Ik vraag niet al te snugger boven het sirene-achtig geluid uit aan het kassameisje: "Waarom knipperen die lampjes eigenlijk?" Ik krijg een scheve blik, maar geen antwoord. Wel roept ze een collega erbij. Okee, nu gaan er pas alarmbelletjes in MIJN hoofd af... ik zie me al afgevoerd worden naar een of ander kamertje, politie erbij, groot drama en dat alles terwijl ik niks gejat heb. Aaaargh!
Er komt een meisje van een jaar of achttien naar me toe (terwijl de kassière me nog steeds doodzwijgt) en met opgeheven hoofdje vraagt ze: "Heeft u enig idee waarom die lichtjes knipperen?" Ik voel me nogal lullig door haar hooghartige toon en kan er alleen maar uitkrijgen: "Omdat dat ding denkt dat ik iets in mijn tas heb verstopt????"
Een pijnlijk vraag- en antwoordspelletje begint. --Let wel, ik heb nog geen koffie of sigaret op, heb uberhaupt nog niet gepraat vandaag en ben net een kwartier wakker, me weinig bewust van wat er allemaal precies gebeurt...-- "Weet u zeker dat u niet iets in uw tas hebt gedaan" ... "Heeft u ook niks in uw zakken gestopt" ... "Heeft ù enig idee waarom het alarm afgaat" en het enige dat ik uit kan brengen is zenuwachtig ik-ben-nogal-van-mijn-stuk-gebracht gemompel over dat ik mijn tas niet heb geopend tot ik bij de kassa kwam en ik me van geen kwaad bewust ben. Iedereen in de winkel kijkt mij vol verwachting aan en ik zak langzaam door de grond...
*Helder moment*
"U mag wel even in mijn tas kijken hoor" roep ik, want tenslotte heb ik daar geen geheime dingen in zitten, alleen een laptop, 4 telefoons (2 kapotte en 2 hele), heel veel snoertjes, sleutels en een aangebroken pakje kauwgom. Schuchter kijkt het meisje mee terwijl ik door mijn tas spit.
We hebben het er uiteindelijk maar op gehouden dat alle apparatuur in mijn tas het alarm deed afgaan. Ik loop enigzins verdwaasd met mijn boodschappentasje de winkel uit en vraag me af hoe ik gereageerd had als ik al WEL wakker was geweest....
